Top 10 Video Game Theme Songs
Our pick of the Top 10 Video Game Theme Songs! One of the most difficult lists we’ve compiled so far.
This started out as a Top 5, but then we got carried away (3 of us contributed to this list), so it became a Top 10. It also didn’t help that there are so many good theme songs out there, so we simply kept remembering more. Eventually we just had to pick some, and stop trying to add to the list.

Super Mario Brothers
I’m pretty sure this is on every list like this, cause it should be.
The Legend of Zelda
Same as above. I mean, how can you not have the Zelda theme on a list like this one?
Portal – Still Alive
It’s such a weird and fun song, and kinda cool. Just felt I needed to put it on this list. I mean, everyone loves it…Right?
The Legend of Dragoon
I used to love this game, as did/does Amanda. There’s just something about the song, not sure what it is, I just like listening to it.
Homeworld
Ken picked this one, I actually never played Homeworld, but I did listen to this theme. Pretty awesome, really.
Uncharted
Love the music in Uncharted, so we could not leave it off this list!
Kingdom Hearts
One of Amanda’s favorites, and I used to play it as well. I’ve always liked the music, which is why I own the soundtrack.
Final Fantasy VII
All 3 of us have played, and loved this game. There was no way the theme song was being left off this list.
The Elder Scrolls V – Skyrim
I decided to link the 10 Hour version above. Cause, why not? Also, if you haven’t heard it yet, you should check out the Lindsey Stirling & Peter Hollins version.
World of Warcraft
The link above has all the openings, and I do like them all, but I think my favorite will always be the original (maybe it’s just nostalgic?)
Some of the music on this list I haven’t listened to in a long time, so it was nice going back and checking them out again as we compiled this list of theme songs. Brought back a lot of awesome memories.
