Quick Review: The Stand (2020)
I went into The Stand without having heard any reviews or opinions, so I was actually looking forward to it. Don’t make the same mistake I did.
The Stand (2020) is a miscast, disjointed mess. Simply the worst adaption I have ever seen. I couldn’t even finish watching it, I didn’t want to waste any more time on that piece of garbage.
I’ve read the book, and I have seen the 90s mini series, both of which I love. This new version doesn’t resemble anything that King created.
What were they thinking when they made this? They had great source material, and could have made something amazing, instead they managed to mess it up in a major way.
Just watch the 1994 mini series, and pass up the 2020 version.
