Mini Series Review: Don’t Watch This

Mini Series Review: Don’t Watch This

I’m a bit late on checking this Netflix show out, but I finally did. Right up front, heed the title. Not because this mini series is so scary you’ll have nightmares, but because it will bore you to tears.

This miniseries had 5 episode, all written and directed by different people. I’m going to break it down by each episode.

Friendship Bracelet

Lonely Julie goes to deadly lengths to make two popular girls at school her best friends.

This one was pretty basic, it could have gone in the direction of having some potential, but it just felt empty. Not scary at all.

CTRL+ALT+DEL

A dark web operator gets trapped in a deadly online puzzle.

I was hoping for more, but this was a let down, and just didn’t make a whole lot of sense. Stereotypical hacker is what annoys me the most.

Incommodum

A nightmare composed of terrifying bodily gore, surreal imagery, and creepy otherworldly creatures.

Stupid. It was just a bunch of  “scary” imagery, but with no plot, and no sense, it was just trying way too hard, and failing, at actually being scary. In my opinion, this was the worst of all 5 episodes.

Keep Out

When two friends investigate an old house notorious for murders, things don’t quite go as expected.

This was the best out of the 5 episodes, and the only one I would suggest watching if you wanted to check this mini series out. It could have made for a better story if it had more time, but it did okay with the time it had. Still, not exactly scary.

Antonio Psycho

Affluent and handsome Antoni (not Anthony, with an H) Porowski shares (dark) secrets of his sound health and glowing skin.

I know what they were trying at, but they didn’t succeed. Disappointing last episode in this series, really nothing to say about it.
