Rest in Power, Chadwick Boseman

Rest in Power, Chadwick Boseman

Last night I went on twitter, and I saw something trending, and thought it had to be a mistake. Sadly, it wasn’t. Like many people I found out that Chadwick Boseman has been battling colon cancer for four years, and that he had died. It seems unreal. He was still young, he was talented, and seemed like such a thoughtful, kind soul. We all thought we would have many more years to see him grace our screens.

His was King T’Challa, aka Black Panther, and I can only imagine how empowering it was for young children to suddenly have a superhero who looked like them. A superhero who was not only strong, but humble, sympathetic, and caring as well. Just as he seemed in real life.

We watched Black Panther last night, after hearing the news. Today I have been on YouTube watching interviews, and clips of Chadwick Boseman, and it just seems impossible that he is gone.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends. He will be missed, and remembered, always.
