Magical Girl Anime
Growing up some of my favorite anime to watch, and manga to read, were the “magical girl” ones. You know, where a normal girl transforms into a hero of some sort.
Here are my Top Three, I’m sure I’m leaving out some great ones I’m either forgetting about, or simply have not seen yet.
Magic Knight Rayearth
Three Japanese school girls are summoned to a mysterious land, to fulfill the legend of the Magical Knights.
I still love the original anime, but this is one I would love to see receive an update.
Sailor Moon
Five teen girls discover that they have the power to transform into Sailor Senshi, so they can fight evil!
You may have already seen some of my other posts on Sailor Moon, this is one of my favorites, and I’ve been super excited for Sailor Moon Crystal!
Cardcaptor Sakura
Sakura is a normal fourth-grader, that is until she stumbled upon the book of Clow Cards in her father’s library. After accidentally setting the magical cards loose, it’s now up to her to catch them all again before they wreak havoc on the entire world!
Often very sweet, and cute anime. I’m not sure this one needs an update, but I definitely want to rewatch the series!
