Doctor Who Screening: The Caves of Androzani
Time for a Fifth Doctor adventure!
This month we didn’t get a chance to head out to our regular monthly Doctor Who screening, so we picked a 5th Doctor episode on Netflix and watched that instead.
The Doctor and Peri land on the dangerous desert planet Androzani Minor, and they decide to explore some tracks they find on the ground. Thus leading them to a cave, and straight into trouble. While exploring Peri slips into an unknown sticky substance, the Doctor helps her out of it, and they head off deeper into the caves where they run into General Chellak’s forces and are captured.
Soon after, as a result of the sticky substance, they start developing rashes, and are in some pain. On top of that they are believed to be gunrunners working for an opposing faction, and there are orders to execute them.
This is a pretty good episode, and of course it’s a must see because it is the last episode for the fifth Doctor.
