Watching: The Fades
Ever since I was little I’ve been a fan of BBC shows, and I love supernatural themed series. So when I discovered this BBC series on Amazon Prime I just had to check it out.
About:
A teenager, named Paul, starts having apocalyptic dreams, then soon after he begins to see spirits of the dead, known as ‘The Fades’. They can’t be seen by other (normal) humans, they can only be seen by “Angelics”, like Paul.
The Fades, because they have not moved on to the after life, become vengeful toward the human race. They are starting to gain the ability to touch things within the real world. The Angelics are trying to stop the Fades from coming back into the world, where they want to destroy the human race.
Note of interest: The actor who plays Paul is in the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. pilot.
My Thoughts:
Sometimes it feels a little ‘slow’, but I don’t find it boring. Basically, it seems very story oriented, get to know the characters, etc. So if you’re really into fast paced action, this might be a little off putting for you. But if you enjoy storytelling, the supernatural, and BBC shows, this is a series you might want to check out.
